In Afghanistan, you don't see many old men on the streets. They are home, with their families, or sit outside of their gates, chatting with the neighbors. But he probably doesn't have much family, and have to take care himself. What happened to his children? Did he lose his family throughout 30 years of war? He looked so forlorn, careful navigating through the mud. The good thing is that old people are respected in AF society, and everyone was kind to him.
