Looking tough... being tough

Some of the Turkmen men look very tough. Life is hard in the NW of Afghanistan. Water is scarce, crops are failing, and roads are so bad that it takes sometimes 2-3 hours on 4WD drive 18 km.

P.S Donkeys are hardworking beasts. They are used for transportation, for carrying water, goods. They sturdy and robust and don't get much recognition.
