For thousands of years, water wells, and other sources , served as meeting places for the members of communities . Time stays still in this Turkmen village, and the only water source they have is a water ditch, which appears to be a local meeting place for people and animals.

Fantastic representation of this time and place !! I like how you have captured these people mingling and interacting with eachother in their everyday lives. Very rich shot!!

This is an amazing insight into a battle to exist. Same thing happens here but it is less obvious. The building far right is intriguing, too.

@AG: Thanks, AG. The building far right is a typical Turkmen house, made from mud that was probably taken from the soil around it. Then straw, from their fields, was added, and mixed with the ditch water, and that is how they build their houses. The roofs of their house are amazing; they dome-like, and have sky windows. Of course nowadays, they put glass in those windows. The houses are very comfortable, and they are cool in summers. Those houses always remind like they from 'Star Wars".
can you imagine , we send people on the stars and we have people living on earth like this, IMAGINE......
