There is no life without water. Drilling water wells is one of the most rewarding experiences... when you find water. Even muddy water like that better than no water at all.

Where I live in Canada, there is a group to which I make a minor contribution. The effort goes to drilling water wells in Uganda. Women in the area carry filthy water several kilometres. Fresh wells nears there homes are inexpensive by our standards and make a huge difference in their lives.

@Michael Rawluk: A water well for a village is a matter of life and death in this part of the world. Sometimes it takes 5 hours on a donkey to bring water from a nearest water source. Some villages have wells but the water is so bad that it can't be even use for washing. Thank you for your comment, Michael.

Right now, in the UK, hundreds of thousands of people are affected by flooding . . now, their taps have run dry because of contamination at the waterworks. Contrasts of the world. Good reportage work, btw.

@kairospix: I used to live in Singapore. Wonderful memories. Your island is surrounded by water! And this land is hard and arid. Water is precious commodity, that people willing to fight for.
