We work in the villages where is no water. We drill deep water wells to bring 'sweet' water to these rural communities. Do you know what is the best drink is there, when you are in the middle of dAsht or a desert? Cold water! So, we bring frozen bottles of water with us and this would be the best thing going.

@Olaide: Thank you, Olaide. People in the villages we work don't have water, and we are trying to bring water to them that never runs out.
Hey, I like the way you have presented this and it goes well with your narrative. I feel thirsty just looking!

@Rahul: Thanks, Rahul. I always appreciate your comments. Our internet was down, so I don't get much 'outside' lately.
Thank you for visiting my photoblog. I've just had the chance to catch up with your portfolio. Thank you for sharing insightful images of life in Afghanistan. I admire you and your husband for your commitment to your NGO work. You share shots that are thought provoking. This image makes us think again about what we take for granted. Cold thirst quenching water. We need to remember to count our blessings.

@aggie: Thank you, aggie. I really appreciate your comment. It's encouraging to know that the images of the people we work with are touching people's hearts. Afghans had much suffering, and here is always bad news coming out of this country. But ordinary people seems like are forgotten.
