Children are us

The picture was taken at one of the rural villages on the NW Afghanistan. The area where they live have no water sources and the well water is salty. People are struggling to survive, but community spirit is very strong.

@Melanie: Thanks, Melanie! I've seen some street children in Kabul, who probably had seen much violence, but even them if you reach out and just love them, they laugh and become happy.

@Pedro Lírio: That is what I like about photography - it doesn't lie and it does capture those special moments we are capable to experience. Except, they don't last long and the harshness of life wipes those smiles from children's faces. But those moments we treasure. Thank you for your encouraging comment. It means a lot to me.
